When building a new home or planning a renovation
it is a great opportunity to install all of the cabling which
will allow you to enjoy technology such as surround sound,
music in any room and shared internet. A properly wired home
has a very high perceived value with a modest impact on your
budget.
Most importantly, a pre-wired home will allow you to easily
install and enjoy all of your technology without having
to stare at unsightly wires. Its hard to imagine some of
the technology one may have in their home in years to come,
just ask us, we’ll give you a good idea! |

Currently most homes only have PreWiring for
the telephones, and often that wiring is using old 'point-to-point'
technology. Most cable and satellite installations have unsightly
wiring on the exterior of the house, and often that wiring is
placed directly through a wall into the living area(without an
electrical box and faceplate). We can help!
We can custom design and PreWire a system for your needs, including:
• Video
Systems
• Computer Networks
• Home Theater
Systems
• Telephone Systems

The home wiring situation is
unique, though, in that most homes lack the features offices
have for easy installation of new wiring, like suspended
ceilings, wire ducts, and so on. This means that it is very
important to pre-wire new homes with a system that
will both meet current needs and provide future flexibility
and expandability.
It also means that adding wiring to
existing homes takes installers who are well-trained and
experienced to allow installation without damage to finished
surfaces or furnishings. |
A pre-wired or "connected" home can support a
wide range of technologies, including high-speed Internet service,
digital television, direct broadcast satellite service, local
computer networks within the home, an efficient home office,
home entertainment centres, environmental and energy management
systems and home security networks.
If you're considering opting out of prewiring
based on the wide availability of wireless devices today,
remember that, despite industry pushes toward standardization,
many wireless devices still use proprietary communication
protocols, making them incompatible with other manufacturer's
products.
Partly for this reason, most home systems products are
designed with structured wiring in mind. Remember also
that prewiring is a permanent upgrade to your home, increasing
its value at sale time. |

Some of the home systems that require prewiring
are security; home theater and entertainment; phones, door-phones
and intercoms; PC and internet networks; surveillance cameras;
driveway vehicle detection; communicating thermostats; motorized
window treatments; entry systems; and irrigation systems. In
addition to installing access ports for these systems, you should
(remove 'also') decide upon at least two locations for centralized
controls, i.e., one in the living room and one in the master
bedroom.
